Despite Mother Nature’s best attempts to halt the racing action in Rock Rapids IA, the track crews are battling back and say they can get the show in! This is how Friday night will work:
Heat races all 4 classes

Hobby A Feature
B mod A Feature
Stock Car A Feature
Sprint Car A Feature

The last race of the night will be the King of the Hill challenge for the top 5 in the stock car A main. The 1st and 5th place cars will race a GREEN WHITE CHECKARED with the winner challenging the 4th place car. The winner of that will challenge the 3rd place car and so on with a KING OF THE HILL at the end of the night.
This will be a very entertaining event to see as these guys will do just about anything to get that $300.
Races start at 8 with adult tickets still at $9 Kids 6-12 and under 6 as always FREE!

Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls, Children of all ages, come one come all to the Lyon County Fair Spectacular! There’s no clowning around on Tuesday night, the dirt track warriors of Rapid Speedway had to sit out last Friday, and now they are restless to get back to the championship battle. Come down and watch the Hobbies, B-mods, Stocks, and the Sprints as they come out for a special Tuesday night Fair race for points! The races will start at 7:30, but come early and enjoy the Lyon County Fair. Ticket prices are the same at $9 for adults, $2 for kids 6 to12, and it is still FREE if you can convince the box office you are under 6 years old!

As always the beer will be cold, the food will be delicious and the racing will be HOT!

Races are Cancelled for Friday July 23rd.
With the heavy rains this week and more rain forcasted for tonight, the crews at Rapid Speedway decided to call off the races.
They will be working diligently to prepare the racing surface for Tuesdays Lyon County Fair race.
Come on out Tuesday and enjoy the fair and see some three wide racing as the boys and girls will be anncey after having this Friday off!

That should be all the more that needs to be said.

This Friday at Rapid Speedway in Rock Rapids IA the 410 Winged Outlaws will return for their final visit in 2010! If you missed the last show these warriors put on, then you missed 28 of the finest sprint car pilots battle it out for $2500, we expect to see more drivers come down as word spreads of the special event. Just like last time the drivers will be competing for $2500 to win and will get no less than $400 to start the A-Main! Tickets for adults are $15, kids $2 and under 6 get in FREE. Other classes racing this Friday include the HRA Sprints, USRA Street Stocks, and the USRA Hobby Stocks. The Speedway Bar will be running their bucket of beer special, and the concession stands will be stocked to roof with all the Pizza Ranch pizza you can eat along with all your favorite foods at affordable prices!

The date for the Sioux Falls Truck and Trailer Sprint Cars’ twin features has been set. This Friday the 9th of July you will get more bang for your buck as the wingless warriors have a double header to make up the severe weather postponement! With this much racing in store, it’s hard not to call this Friday a sprint special, tickets are still $9 for adults, $2 for kids (6-12), and FREE for anyone who can convince the box office they are under 6 years of age!
Mom’s and Dad’s, don’t worry about super for the family, the concession stand will be stocked full of pizza from the PIZZA RANCH, along with all your favorite race track meals!
Thinking of skipping the races to party on Friday night, there’s no need. With The Speedway Bar open and their bucket of beer special, you can party at the track!
So come on out to Rapid Speedway, where the racing is hot, the beer is cold, and the fun never stops!

Tuesday July 13th the Sioux Falls Truck and Trailer Sprints will hit the road. The guys and gals will go down to the big half mile in Sioux Center IA and battle it out with extra money on the line! Tuesday’s purse will be larger throughout the field, with the winner taking home $400 and $175 to start! Stay tuned to www.heartlandracingassociation.com for a complete payout to be posted!

The twin features for the Sioux Falls Truck and Trailor Sprints will NOT be run this Friday the 2nd of July. A later date has yet to be confirmed, stay posted to this website for the date.
